Over 10.7 Million PR Votes Counted in HoR Election
Kathmandu, March 11 — The Election Commission Nepal has reported that more than 10.7 million votes have been counted so far under the proportional representation (PR) category of the House of Representatives election.
According to the vote count update released at 3:30 am today, the Rastriya Swatantra Party is leading the tally with over 5.1 million votes.
The Nepali Congress is in second place with more than 1.7 million votes, followed by the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) in third with over 1.4 million votes.
Similarly, the Communist Party of Nepal stands fourth with more than 800,000 votes, while the Shram Sanskriti Party has secured around 378,000 votes.
The Rastriya Prajatantra Party has garnered 329,197 votes so far in the proportional category.
Other parties in the tally include the Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal with 174,305 votes, the Rastriya Paribartan Party with 171,444 votes, and the Janamat Party with 78,927 votes.
The Election Commission stated that vote counting is still ongoing and further updates will be made public as the process continues.
