ANFA Calls for End to Footballers’ Lockout at Satdobato Office

Kathmandu, March 9 — The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has expressed serious concern over the padlocking of its central office in Satdobato, Lalitpur, by protesting footballers.

In a press statement issued today, ANFA said the lockout has disrupted administrative operations and urged the concerned players to lift it immediately.

The protest began last Sunday when footballers affiliated with the Nepal Football Players Association sealed the ANFA office, demanding pending payments, prize money, and support for the welfare fund.

ANFA stated that measures are underway to address the players’ demands in accordance with existing rules and procedures. The association clarified that allowances and facilities for A Division club players representing the national team are already defined, and pledged to release prize money and other pending payments gradually.

Highlighting that the lockout could negatively impact football activities in the country, ANFA appealed to all parties to resolve the issue through dialogue.
