Vote counting begins in Siraha

Siraha, March 6: The vote counting has started in Siraha under the House of Representatives election. According to the preliminary results of Constituency No. 4, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP)’s candidate has taken an early lead.

According to Election Officer Shiva Wagle, by 10:15 am, out of 844 votes counted, RSP’s candidate Tapeshwar Yadav has received 547 votes.

Similarly, Janamat Party candidate Birendra Prasad Mahto received 88 votes and CPN (UML) candidate Dharmanath Prasad Sah received 65 votes.

Dr Shree Prakash Upreti, the chief election officer of the district and election officer of constituency no. 3, said that vote counting has also started at 11 am in Siraha 2 and Siraha 3.

Election Officer Fadindraraj Bhattarai informed that the counting of votes in Siraha-1 started from 10 in the morning.
