Land Revenue Offices Collect Rs 5 Billion in Magh, Slight Dip from Previous Month
Kathmandu, Feb 16 — Land Revenue Offices across Nepal collected a total of Rs 5 billion in revenue during the month of Magh, according to the Land Management and Record Department. The figure represents a slight decrease compared to the Rs 5.17 billion collected in Poush.
The department reported that the revenue included Rs 315.8 million from service tax, over Rs 2.68 billion from registration fees, and more than Rs 1.96 billion from capital gains tax.
Despite the collections, the total number of real estate transactions has not shown significant growth in recent months. In Magh, a total of 50,837 properties were traded, slightly higher than the corresponding period in the previous fiscal year.
The department attributed the modest revenue dip to the relatively stable activity in the real estate sector.
