Two Arrested with Over 121 kg of Hashish in Makawanpur

Makawanpur, Jan 21 — Police have arrested two individuals with a large consignment of hashish in Thaha Municipality, Makawanpur district.

The arrested are 21-year-old Sanu Khanchha from Kailash Rural Municipality-5 and auto-rickshaw driver Ghan Shyam Bal Lama. Authorities recovered 121.466 kilograms of hashish hidden in 12 rubber boxes from the vehicle (Ba Pra 03001 Ha 1507), according to Pushkar Bogati, spokesperson of the District Police Office.

The vehicle was en route from Taukhel to Markhu when a joint police team from Palung and Chitlang intercepted it and seized the illegal substance.
