861 candidates register nominations across the country as of 2 PM

Kathmandu. As of 2:00 PM today, a total of 861 candidates have filed their nomination papers for all 165 constituencies ahead of the House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 5.

The Election Commission says nominations are being received enthusiastically across the country. The preliminary list of candidates will be published today between 5:00 and 7:00 PM.

Complaints against candidates can be filed tomorrow from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and the updated list will be released at 7:00 PM on January 21. Candidates will be able to withdraw their nominations from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on January 23.

The final list of candidates will be published on February 3 between 1:00 and 3:00 PM, and election symbols will be distributed the same day between 4:00 and 7:00 PM.
