Second Snowfall of the Season Hits Pathibhara

Phungling, Taplejung, Jan 4: The Pathibhara area has witnessed its second snowfall of the winter season. The first snowfall this year occurred on December 6.

According to Rajendra Mahat of the Pathibhara Area Development Committee, snow fell on Saturday evening, intensifying the cold in the region.

To ensure easier access for pilgrims visiting the renowned shrine, fiber roofing has been installed along the trekking route, allowing smoother passage even during rain or snowfall.

Situated at an altitude of 3,794 meters, Pathibhara traditionally receives snow from mid-November. However, changing snowfall patterns in recent years reflect the growing impacts of climate change.
