Mahotsav Events Boost Economic Optimism: Industry Minister
Morang, Jan 3: Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Anil Kumar Sinha has said that Mahotsav-related events across the country are creating positive momentum for the nation’s economy and business sector.
Speaking at the conclusion of the Birat Trade Expo in Biratnagar, Minister Sinha highlighted the role of such expos in promoting innovative technology and expanding business networks. He noted that Biratnagar has played a pivotal role in Nepal’s industrial development, with local entrepreneurs making significant contributions to the growth of entrepreneurship in the country.
Minister Sinha also pointed out the economic potential of Koshi Province, which contributes 16 percent of Nepal’s GDP and 25 percent of the nation’s industrial output. He emphasized that the government is working to ensure political stability while encouraging youth participation in politics.
The expo featured around 200 stalls showcasing products from Nepal, India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan, along with locally made goods from small and cottage industries.
