Mist and Fog Likely Across Tarai, Partly Cloudy Weather in Hills and Mountains

Kathmandu, Dec 28: Dense mist and fog are expected to blanket most areas of the Tarai region today, while hilly and mountainous regions are likely to experience partly cloudy conditions.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division’s 8:00 am bulletin indicates a chance of light rain and snowfall at isolated locations in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki Provinces.

Tonight, mist will continue to cover most parts of the Tarai, with partly cloudy skies in hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali Provinces. Other hilly and mountainous areas are expected to remain mostly clear. Light rain or snowfall may occur at a few places in the high hills of Gandaki Province.

The division noted that the weather pattern is being partially influenced by westerly winds across the country.
