CAN Federation Honours Dr Shailendra Giri for ICT Contributions

Kathmandu, Dec 23: The Federation of Computer Association Nepal (CAN Federation) has felicitated Dr Shailendra Giri for his notable contributions to Nepal’s information and communication technology (ICT) sector.

Dr Giri, a former central committee member of the CAN Federation, was honoured on Monday during the Hi-Tech CAN B2B Summit 2025 and the organization’s 32nd general meeting. The federation cited his leadership, academic excellence, and active role in advancing the country’s ICT development as reasons for the recognition.

A researcher and ICT innovator, Dr Giri has also contributed significantly to public administration. Upon receiving the honour, he committed to continuing efforts in knowledge creation, innovation, and ICT growth, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between the government, private sector, and academic institutions to inspire the new generation to engage in research and technology.
