Rebuilt Bouddha Police Office resumes services after Gen-Z protest damage
Kathmandu, Dec 15: The Police Circle building in Bouddha, which was set on fire and damaged during the Gen-Z protests on September 9, has been reconstructed with support from local residents and various organizations. Police services have been operating from the newly rebuilt office since Sunday.
Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki inaugurated the new building at a ceremony held on Sunday. The event was attended by Gokarneshwor Municipality Mayor Dipak Kumar Risal, Kathmandu Police Range Chief Ramesh Thapa, and other officials.
Speaking on the occasion, participants stressed the need to take legal action against those involved in vandalism and arson of public property. They said CCTV footage could play a key role in identifying and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
