Madhes Province Chief calls for Chief Minister Post

Janakpur, Dec 3: Madhes Province Chief Surendra Labh Karna has issued a notice calling members of the Provincial Assembly to stake their claim for the position of Chief Minister.

According to the Office of the Province Chief, eligible assembly members must present their claim by 5:00 pm on Friday. The notice specifies that any candidate must demonstrate a majority with the backing of two or more parties represented in the Provincial Assembly.

The call follows the formal approval of the resignation of Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav, creating a vacancy in the provincial executive leadership.
