Pakistan Embassy hands over computer laboratory for Gyanodaya school

Kathmandu, Nov 30: Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, Abrar H. Hashmi, inaugurated and formally handed over on Saturday a newly established computer laboratory at Gyanodaya Secondary School in Bafal, Kathmndu.

The newly established laboratory is equipped with 40 brand-new computers, new furniture, and upgraded flooring. It will be utilized to impart ICT education to higher classes. The previous lab, after refurbishment, has been relocated to the primary section to further strengthen early digital learning.

Notably, the first computer lab was donated to the School in 2013 as a teaching aid and has served students continuously for the past 12 years, says a statement issued by the Embassy of Pakistan. On the occasion, Ambassador Hashmi encouraged students to leverage information and communication technologies and explore emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, e-commerce, innovation, and fintech.

Students and community leaders expressed their appreciation for the announcement of establishing a ‘Nepal-Pakistan Friendship Society’ at the school. They also warmly welcomed the Embassy of Pakistan’s commitment to support the school’s music and sports societies, adds the statement.
