NPL: Chitwan wins toss, opts to bowl

Kathmandu: Chitwan Rhinos and Kathmandu Gorkhas are facing off in the first match of the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket, taking place in the capital today.

Chitwan won the toss and elected to bowl at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Stadium, Kirtipur. Led by captain Kushal Malla, Chitwan is third on the points table with four points from three matches. A win today will strengthen their path to the playoffs.

Kathmandu Gorkhas, captained by Karan KC, have won two of their four matches. The team will need a victory today to keep its playoff hopes alive.

Later today, Karnali Yaks will take on Biratnagar Kings in the second match of the day.
