PM directs to speed up appointment of NAC general manager

Kathmandu, Nov 11: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has instructed the concerned authorities to promptly proceed with the process of appointing the General Manager of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) through an open competition.

Also leading the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Prime Minister Karki issued the directive while being briefed on the progress made so far by the Ministry’s Secretary, Hari Mainali, according to the PM’s Secretariat. A selection committee has already been formed under the coordination of Secretary Mainali to carry out the appointment process through open competition.

Captain K.B. Limbu serves as an expert member of the committee, while the Chief of the Ministry’s Planning and Administration Division acts as the member-secretary. Secretary Mainali informed that the necessary procedural work is currently underway.
