SDC Assistant Director calls on Koshi Province CM

Morang, Nov 11: The Assistant Director of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) in Nepal, Arno Wicki, paid a courtesy call on the Chief Minister of Koshi Province, Hikmat Kumar Karki, on Monday.

During the meeting, issues of bilateral cooperation and Swiss assistance in the enforcement of federalism in Nepal were discussed, according to CM Karki’s secretariat. CM Karki expressed appreciation for the Swiss support in implementing federalism in Nepal.

He added that the Swiss government has extended significant assistance to Nepal’s pursuit of peace, prosperity, and development, noting that climate change is another important area that warrants collaboration. Assistant Director Wicki, in response, highlighted Koshi Province’s considerable potential in terms of tourism and development.

He suggested that collective efforts could further enhance Nepal’s democratic journey.
