Cyclone ‘Montha’ to continue causing rainfall across Nepal until Saturday morning

October 30, Kathmandu: Kathmandu and other parts of mainy central and eastern Nepal are witnessing moderate rainfall since yesterday eveninng.

The Weather Forecasting Division has announced that Cyclone ‘Montha’ will continue causing rainfall in most parts of Nepal until Saturday morning.

Spokesperson Bibhuti Pokharel from the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology told that scattered rainfall is expected in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, while moderate rainfall is likely in other provinces.

Weather conditions are expected to improve from Saturday morning. Pokharel added that rainfall will occur in Kathmandu Valley and surrounding areas over the next 24 hours, though it will not be continuous.

There is also a possibility ofheavy snowfall in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces within the next 24 hours, according to Pokharel.
