Minister Gupta terms policy level corruption as barrier to development
Siraha, Oct 28: Minister for Youth and Sports, Bablu Gupta, has termed the policy-level corruption as a barrier to development in Nepal.
At a felicitation programme organised by the Gen Z people in his home town on Tuesday, Minister Gupta said the policy-level corruption plagued our system, which caused severe public disenchantment. It ultimately led to rebellious sentiment among people, he argued.
“It is the policy level corruption that ruined education, health and sports. So, the Gen Z people were forced to sacrifice to end such corruption rife in the country,” he reminded. In his view, time has come to create jobs for the youth. It was also one of the demands of Gen Z youths.
The government now needs to adopt a policy that suits the youths’ thoughts and vision. Minister Gupta also spoke on the disputes relating to the sports sector at Lahan that resulted in irregularities. “I’m searching for the document related to the irregularities,” he informed. On the occasion, he visited the family of Gen Z martyr Bijay Chaudhari at Lahan-15.
The government can not ignore the families of the Gen Z martyrs, he assured.
