Nepali-founded Fusemachines begins trading on Nasdaq

NEW YORK, Oct 24 : Fusemachines, an artificial intelligence company founded by Nepali entrepreneur Dr. Sameer Maskey, began trading on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange on Thursday following a merger with CSLM Acquisition Corporation.

The company’s shares are listed under the ticker symbol FUSE on the Nasdaq Capital Market.

Founded by Dr. Maskey, Fusemachines provides AI solutions and currently employs around 350 people, including 260 based in Nepal.

“This milestone is the result of innovative ideas and determination that started with a small team,” Maskey said. “Being listed on one of the world’s leading financial platforms is a remarkable achievement for our company.”

Following the merger, Maskey will serve as Chief Executive Officer, and Kristin Chambers as Chief Financial Officer. The board of directors includes Maskey, Bharat Kris, Tim Gocher, Sanjay Shrestha, and Salman Alam.

The listing marks a significant milestone for a Nepali-founded tech company, highlighting the growing global footprint of Nepal’s technology and innovation sector.
