Cabinet meeting: Government takes various decisions
Kathmandu: The government has decided to recall Nepali ambassadors from 11 different countries.

Unveiling the key decisions of Cabinet meeting here today, Government Spokesperson and the Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Jagadish Kharel, shared that the government decided to accept USD 10 million to be received from the World Bank for the public finance management project.
Similarly, the Cabinet meeting decided to designate various projects including electricity generation, transmission and distribution as national priority projects and publish notices related to those projects in the Nepal Gazette.
The meeting also decided to approve the agreement on the mutual legal assistance treaty between Nepal and India. Likewise, the government decided to approve proposals for negotiation to conclude mutual legal assistance treaties in criminal matters with other countries and to send proposals to various countries through diplomatic channels as needed.
Other major decisions include permitting Additional Inspector General (IGP) of Nepal Police Siddhi Bikram Shah to participate in the convocation parade to be held in India on October 17. The government also decided to approve Minister for Communication and Information Technology Kharel to participate in the Global ICT Leadership Forum to be held in Seoul, South Korea on November 12.
Similarly, permission was granted to Secretary at the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizen, Laxmi Kumari Basnet, to participate in ‘Second Asia Pacific E-Commerce Policy Summit, 2025’ to be organised in New Delhi of India from November 3 as well as to Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Bishwo Babu Pudasaini to participate in a meeting related to IAEA Technical Cooperation Project to be held in Vietnam from November 3-7.
Spokesperson Kharel added that the cabinet decided to give permission to Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Hari Prasad Mainali, to attend ‘World Travel Market’ to be organised in London from November 2-9 as well as Chiri Babu Maharjan, Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolis, to participate in 45th CityNet Executive Committee meeting scheduled in Indonesia from October 26-28.
