PM Karki stresses uninterrupted court services
October 16, Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sushila Karki emphasised that court services cannot be halted even for a single day during a joint meeting with the board of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) and a delegation from the Supreme Court.
The meeting addressed alternative arrangements for the Kathmandu District Court, whose building was damaged. Supreme Court Chief Registrar Bimal Paudel requested the CAAN to provide its building in Babarmahal for temporary use.
In response, Prime Minister Karki directed the CAAN to make the building available, underscoring the necessity of uninterrupted court services.
An understanding was reached for the CAAN to conditionally provide the building for immediate use. The Prime Minister further instructed the court and the CAAN to formalise a memorandum of understanding to facilitate this arrangement.
