Two arrested on charge of involvement in human organ trafficking

Kathmandu: Police have arrested two people on the charge of involvement in human organ trafficking.

A team of District Police Range, Kathmandu nabbed two individuals accused of luring gullible people with false promises and taking them to India and allegedly selling off their kidneys.

According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, the arrested ones are Motilal Tamang, 34, of Manthali Municipality-6 of Ramechhap district and currently residing in Budhanilakantha of Kathmandu district.

Similarly, police apprehended Narayan Ban, 47, of Itahari Municipality in Sunsari district, added SP Bhattarai, also the Spokesperson at the District Police Range, Kathmandu.

Bhattarai shared that both the suspects have been sent to the Human Trafficking Investigation Bureau in Babarmahal for further investigation and necessary legal action.
