Teacher-student-parents collaboration needed for effective learning
Kanchanpur, Oct 12:The Krishnapur Municipality in Kanchanpur district has ensured effective collaboration measures among schoolteachers, students and parents for quality enhancement of school education in the municipality.
The intervention measures are aimed at improving the quality of education, increasing the success rate of the students in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE). Mayor of Krishnapur Municipality Hemraj Ojha stated that quality education was the priority of his municipality, and the activities have been implemented accordingly.
“We are working to enhance quality education in the municipality. We aim to develop Krishnapur Municipality as an exemplary municipality in the education sector,” Mayor Ojha added. The municipality conducts interactions with the headmasters of 13 secondary schools on a regular basis to bring in reforms in the assessment system, utilise technology-based teaching and embrace innovation in teaching-learning activities.
Chief of the Education Section in the municipality, Ganesh Bahadur Chand, viewed that cooperation among teachers, students and parents is a must for quality education. Likewise, he shared that routine monitoring, additional classes and awareness programmes for parents have been conducted in the municipality. Similarly, the school headmasters have urged the mayor to build physical infrastructures, provide sufficient educational materials and ensure other requisites for the schools to offer quality education.
In response, Mayor Ojha has pledged to ensure basic infrastructure development and educational materials in all schools in the municipality. The schools in the municipality are also following digital teaching methodology while providing capacity development training for teachers.
