NC central committee meeting scheduled for October 14

Patan (Lalitpur): The central committee meeting of the Nepali Congress (NC) is scheduled to take place on October 14.

The meeting of the NC’s office-bearers, former office-bearers and the central work execution committee concluded on Saturday decided to postpone the CC meeting until October 14 citing lack of a further preparation, NC spokesperson Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat said.

“Crucial issues were discussed in the recent meeting. Serious discussions were held about the impacts of the September 8 and 9 protests on the party’s life. Discussions were also focused on timely elections and restoration of the House of Representatives (HoR),” Dr Mahat added.

He was of the view that the upcoming CC meeting will discuss the participation of Gen-Z in the NC’s general convention.

The meeting was convened under the chair of NC Vice-President Purna Bahadur Khadka.
