NAC to operate rescue flight from Bhairahawa to Kathmandu on Monday
Kathmandu: The passengers stranded in Bhairahawa of Rupandehi after incessant rains are to be taken to Kathmandu in the chartered flight of Nepal Airlines.
At the special initiative of Prime Minister Sushila Karki, the passengers stranded in and around Bhairahawa will be airlifted to Kathmandu in the NA’s chartered flight, informed PM’s chief personal secretary, Adarsha Shrestha.
In a press statement on Sunday, the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) said it will operate rescue flights on October 6 (Monday) as per the special directive of the government.
The Kathmandu-Bhairahawa-Kathmandu flights will be operated through ‘A’ A320 aircraft.
According to the NA, the rescue flights via ‘RA’ 1731 will be bound to Bhairahawa at 1.00 pm and ‘RA’ 1732 to make a return flight to Kathmandu at 2.45 pm.
As informed, air fare Rs 5,000 has been set for Bhairahawa from Kathmandu and Rs 7,000 for Kathmandu from Bhairahawa.
Handicapped, senior citizens, ailing people and passengers with emergency will be given special priority in the rescue flights, it is stated.
NAC informed that air tickets can be bought through online system and NA office or authorized agency.
