Nepali players to participate in WKF Karate 1 Series ‘A’
Kathmandu, Sept 28: A Nepali Karate Team is to leave for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to participate in the World Karate Federation (WKF) Karate 1 Series ‘A’.
Four Nepali women Karate players would compete in the tournament to be organised by Malaysia Karate Federation from October 3-5.
Erika Gurung is representing Nepal in the above 68 kg, Barsha Budha Magar (below 50 kg), Sabina Shrestha (below 55 kg) and Sanu Maya Thing in single kata.
Kushal Shrestha is the coach while Tara Gurung will play the role of umpire. Extending best wishes to the team, Member-Secretary of the National Sports Council, Tanka Lal Ghising and President of the Nepal National and International Players Association, Deepak Shrestha, bade farewell to the players at a programme organised here today.
The Karate women team would leave for Malaysia on Wednesday.
