Taskforce formed to identify problems seen in capital market

Kathmandu, Sept 19: The government has formed a four-member taskforce to identify the problems seen in the capital market.

Spokesperson of the Ministry of Finance, Tanka Prasad Pandey, said a task force has been formed to study the anomalies and problems surfaced in the capital market and to present suggestions and a solid implementation action plan (roadmap) for systemic and procedural reforms necessary to immediately enhance the morale of general investors.

A task force has been formed under the chairmanship of Rupesh KC, the executive director of the Securities Board.

The members of the taskforce include Director of the Nepal Rastra Bank, Sharan Adhikari, and Acting Executive Director of the Nepal Stock Exchange Limited, Niranjan Bhattarai, while Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Finance, Sharad Niraula, is the member-secretary.
