Leadership needs prompt correction: Chief Minister Karki

Biratnagar, Sept 18: CPN (UML) Standing Committee member and Chief Minister of Koshi Province, Hikmat Kumar Karki, has said the party leadership should seek correction and, if necessary, it should be ready to hand over the leadership.

Referring to the attack on Nepal’s constitution and sovereignty during the recent protest, he said, “Gen-Z’s demand against corruption was raised continuously. Despite the adverse situation, it is positive that all sides concerned have united to rise from despair and work for the nation.

During the flag hoisting programme organised by the UML Biratnagar Metropolitan Committee here on Thursday, Chief Minister Karki, however, remarked that the demonstration on September 8 was not only of Gen-Z but also of various interest groups.
