Historical past unforgettable: Leader Sitaula

Parsa, Aug 31: Parliamentary party leader of the Nepali Congress in the National Assembly, Krishna Prasad Sitaula, has said that the new generation must be reminded of the importance of the past’s democratic struggles, which carry significant meaning.

Addressing a dialogue organised by NC’s Supply and Consumer Department on ‘guarantee of daily essentials and consumers’ concern’ here on Sunday, leader Sitaula stressed the need to make the historic past known to the present generation. “Every country needs to share the history and stories of struggles waged over time with other countries as all.

Nepal can also tell external communities about our democratic movements,” he added, giving the example of China, which was gathering government chiefs from many countries and telling its past. Moreover, leader Sitaula argued that history is the foundation upon which the present is built, so it is essential for the NC to teach youngsters about its past struggles fought for democracy.
