NA meeting scheduled to take place today

 

Kathmandu, Aug 15: A meeting of the National Assembly (NA) is scheduled to take place at the Federal Parliament building in New Baneswor at 11.45 this morning.

In today’s meeting of the Upper House, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is set to present the ‘Sixth Annual Report of the National Inclusive Commission for the fiscal year 2080/81’. NA Secretary Dr Surendra Aryal will table the ‘Consolidated Report of the Coordination Meeting with Electorate Colleges organised in All Seven Provinces’ before the members.

Additionally, five parliamentary committees – the International Relations and Tourism Committee, the Industry, Commerce, Labour and Consumer Interest Committee, Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee, Public Accounts Committee, and Legislative Management Committee are holding their meetings today.

The International Relations and Tourism Committee will discuss the ‘Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal Bill, 2081’ and the ‘Nepal Air Service Authority Bill, 2081’ with a presentation and discussion based on extensive comparative analysis from the ministry. In the Industry and Commerce Committee, there is a schedule to discuss the ‘Export-Import (Regulation) Bill, 2081′ with thematic experts.

Likewise, the Agriculture and Cooperatives Committee will discuss the current preparations for the Hindu Kush Himalayan Parliamentarians’ Meet-2025. In the Public Accounts Committee, there will be a discussion on the complaints received regarding the load capacities of trucks. An agenda has been set to discuss the ‘Nepal Citizenship (Second Amendment) Bill, 2081’ in the Legislative Management Committee, it is informed.
