JSP forges working alliance with Rastriya Mukti Party

Kathmandu, Aug 14: The Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) led by Ashok Rai has forged a working alliance with the Rastriya Mukti Party led by Rajendra Mahato.

They announced the working alliance at a programme in the federal capital, Kathmandu, on Thursday. As per the alliance, the parties will foster coordination for visibility of their programmes through the media. They would abide by the code of conduct, directives and decisions made by the province and district coordination committees of both parties.

At the programme, JSP Chairman Rai said that political parties with similar thoughts should collaborate, coordinate, and form a unity to counter political polarisation and protect the political achievements made so far. Chairman of Rastriya Mukti Party, Rajendra Mahato, viewed the unity among all communities living in the mountains, hills, and Tarai could help ensure national prosperity.

He shared that the working alliance between the two parties would finally result in party unification. As per the alliance, both parties have urged their leaders and cadres not to comment against the alliance policy. In the joint programme to be held by them, the leaders should share views on objectives, policy and programmes relating to the working alliance.
