Seven highways blocked nationwide due to heavy rain
Kathmandu: Seven major highways across the country have been completely blocked due to floods and landslides triggered by continuous rainfall, according to Nepal Police Headquarters.
The blocked routes include the Koshi Highway in Bhotkhola (Sankhuwasabha), the Nepal-China border bridge in Gosainkunda (Rasuwa), the Pasang Lhamu Highway in Rasuwa, and the Araniko Highway in Bhotekoshi (Sindhupalchowk).
Other closures include the Kaligandaki Corridor in Baglung, the Ghorahi-Rukum Shahid Highway in Parivartan (Rolpa), and the Jajarkot-Dolpa-Bheri Corridor in Aathbiskot (Rukum West).
Meanwhile, several routes including Tokha–Nuwakot road, Kaligandaki Corridor in Gaindakot (Nawalparasi), Beni–Jomsom road in Mustang, Prithvi Highway in Bandipur (Tanahun), and Shahid Highway in Rolpa have reopened to one-way traffic.
