Kathmandu: Speaker Devraj Ghimire has emphasized that Parliament’s strength today depends on digital access and public trust.
Speaking at the Sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliaments in Geneva, he highlighted the need to prioritize technology budgets for digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, and internet literacy.
Speaker Ghimire noted the growing role of social media in connecting parliamentarians with citizens but warned against challenges like misinformation.
He also shared Nepal’s efforts to integrate AI in legislative management and draft bills on artificial intelligence and social media.
