Light to moderate rain likely in four provinces, strong winds in Terai-Madhes

Kathmandu: Currently, the influence of monsoon across the country is weak.

The Weather Forecasting Division informed that the monsoon low-pressure line of the monsoon is located closer to the average position.

The weather currently is generally cloudy in the hilly regions across the country, with a possibility of light to moderate rain followed by thunder and lightning in a few places of the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.

The division has indicated generally cloudy weather in the hilly regions of the country this afternoon, while partial cloud cover will prevail in the remaining areas. Light to moderate rain along with thunder and lightning is predicted in some places of the hilly regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in a few places of the remaining regions.

There is a possibility of strong winds in the Terai of Koshi province and some parts of Madhes province.

According to the division, there will generally be cloudy weather in the hilly regions of the country, with partial cloud cover in the remaining areas.

The division has urged the public and those concerned to obtain updated weather information in view of possible heavy rainfall in Terai of Koshi and some places of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
