PM Oli inaugurates maternity hospital in Matihani

Bardibas: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has inaugurated a maternity hospital in Matihani, Mahottari.

Prime Minister Oli inaugurated the maternity hospital constructed in Ward No. 6 of Matihani Municipality today.

Matihani Municipality Mayor Hari Prasad Mandal informed that the maternity home building was constructed with a special grant from the federal government and joint investment from the municipality. According to him, the building was constructed at a cost of Rs 18.8 million by the federal government and Matihani Municipality.

Mayor Mandal said that the Matihani Municipality Birthing Center is providing safe deliveries to 15 to 20 women per month and that the need to refer women to private nursing homes in case of complex problems has become a financial burden on the general public. Realizing the need for a maternity home, a maternity home with state-of-the-art services and facilities has been constructed.

Prime Minister Oli also inaugurated the bridge constructed over the Bighi River in Ward No. 8 of Matihani Municipality today.
