HoR meeting scheduled to take place today

Kathmandu, July 25: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is scheduled to take place at 1:00 PM today at the parliamentary building.

In today’s meeting, Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Raghuji Pant, is scheduled to present a proposal seeking consideration of the Tilganga Eye Institute Bill, 2081, which originated in the National Assembly. The bill, registered in the National Assembly on June 18, 2024, was passed on March 17, 2025.

The bill pertains to the establishment and operation of a university as a center of excellence in the field of eye health—focusing on education, teaching, and research. It also aims to provide specialized eye care services and promote the development and expansion of advanced technologies in the field of eye health.
