Three share investors including Agrawal arrested for fraud
Kathmandu, July 21: Police here on Monday arrested three share investors, including Deependra Agrawal, on charges of fraud and criminal breach of trust.
Agrawal, 42, a permanent resident of Biratnagar Metropolitan-9 in Morang district and currently residing in Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC)-14 in Kathmandu, was taken into custody following a complaint lodged by Dinesh Prasad Shah, 60, a resident of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City-1 in Dhanusha district and presently residing at KMC-10.
Apilraj Bohora, Spokesperson of Police Range Kathmandu and Superintendent of Police, told RSS that they were apprehended after Shah alleged that Agrawal lured him into transferring shares to him and made him deposit Rs 60.45 million in Agrawal’s account. However, Agrawal neither provided Shah with the promised shares nor refunded his money.
It may be noted that the District Court, Kathmandu, had issued an arrest warrant against the three people after a case was registered on July 14.
