Former Election Commissioner Sharma passes away

Kathmandu, July 12: Former Election Commissioner Ila Sharma has passed away due to a cardiac arrest.

Also a former journalist, Sharma passed away during treatment this evening at Norvic Hospital, according to journalist and writer Amrita Lamsal. She will be cremated tomorrow.

Sharma had worked with The Rising Nepal English daily for a long time. She is survived by two daughters.
