Two dead, six injured in Baitadi road mishap

Baitadi: Two people died and six others were injured in a jeep accident occurred at 5:30 this morning in Baitadi district.

The jeep (Su Pa Pra 04 001 Ja 1372) heading to Ganna in Darchula district from Dhangadhi fell some 100 meters off the road at Patan-6 in Baitadi district.

Police Inspector of District Police Office in Baitadi, Balaram Pandey, said jeep driver 24-year-old Santosh Bahadur Rana and passenger Kiran Bohara, 32, of Dilasaini Rural Municipality-1 died in the mishap.

Of the injured ones, Rajendra Bahadur Khatri, 27, and Kamala Dhami, 51, of Dilasaini-1 were rushed to Dhangadhi for further treatment.
