Import of Chinese helicopters begins through Tatopani border crossing
Sindhupalchowk: For the first time, helicopters have started being imported through the Tatopani border crossing in Sindhupalchowk.
Although electronic goods, clothing, fruits, and vehicles have been imported before, this is the first time that helicopters have been imported.
Ado Transport Company, which has been bringing goods from various cities in China, brought the helicopter to Nepal on Wednesday evening, placing it on a 40-foot trailer.
The helicopter purchased by Mountain Helicopter Pvt. Ltd. has been unloaded at the passenger branch of Tatopani Customs. The company has informed that it is preparing to bring five more Chinese helicopters through the same border.
According to the Tatopani Customs Office, the customs clearance process will be completed within a day or two. This is expected to generate revenue of more than Rs 41.12 million.
Surya Kafle, Information Officer at the Customs Office, informed that the helicopter will be flown to Kathmandu after the technical team tests it today.
