NA passes Appropriation Bill

Kathmandu, June 26: The meeting of the National Assembly (NA) today passed the Appropriation Bill, 2082.

A proposal tabled by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel seeking endorsement of the ‘Appropriation Bill, 2082′ was passed by a majority of the NA meeting.

Prior to this, Finance Minister Paudel responded to the NA members’ concerns during the theoretical discussion on the proposal stating that the upcoming fiscal year’s budget was implementable and balanced.

He said the budget was realistic and the Ministry has paid attention to achieve the results of the budget estimates.

Paudel added that the budget is made balanced even determining the size of the budget and resources management.

Likewise, Minister Paudel said that implementation of the budget was a shared responsibility of all ministries.

In today’s theoretical discussions, NA members Urmila Aryal, Padam Bahadur Pariyar, Gopal Bhattarai, Shekhar Kumar Singh, Bhuwan Bahadur Sunar, Tulasa Dahal, Gopi Bahadur Sarki Achhami and Sumitra BC shared their views.

The next meeting of the NA is summoned for Sunday.

The government had presented the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83 in a joint meeting of the Federal Parliament on May 29.
