Ruling coalition agrees to endorse Appropriation Bill in Federal Parliament
Kathmandu: A meeting of the ruling coalition parties, convened by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today, has concluded with a decision to ensure the passage of the Appropriation Bill, 2082 BS, in the Federal Parliament.
The meeting, held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, decided that ruling party lawmakers will vote in favor of the budget during today’s session of the House of Representatives. The decision follows scheduled responses and clarifications from the Prime Minister and relevant ministers during the ongoing budget discussions.
Mahantha Thakur, Chair of the Tarai Madhesh Loktantrik Party, who was present at the meeting, said discussions focused on securing parliamentary approval for the budget.
He added that an understanding has been reached between the major parties—Nepal Communist Party (UML) and Nepali Congress—on the ‘take and pay’ provision included in the budget.
