First meeting of High-Level Good Governance Commission held
Kathmandu: The inaugural meeting of the High-Level Good Governance Commission took place today under the chairmanship of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at Singha Durbar, the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
The meeting featured an introductory discussion on the commission’s formation objectives, its scope of work, and key priority areas. It was decided that representatives from political parties, the private sector, and subject-matter experts will soon be nominated to the commission. A second plenary session is scheduled for next week.
The 15-member commission was established by the Council of Ministers on April 21, with Prime Minister Oli serving as its chair. Other members include Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ajay Chaurasiya, and Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Rajkumar Gupta.
