Foreign Minister Dr Rana seeks information on Nepalis in Israel with Ambassador Bass

June 16, Kathmandu: Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba on Monday held discussions with Israel’s Ambassador to Nepal, Shmulik Bass, regarding the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran and its impact on Nepali citizens in Israel.

The meeting took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where Ambassador Bass briefed the Minister on the latest developments in the Israel-Iran conflict.

During the meeting, Dr. Rana inquired about the safety and well-being of Nepalis residing in Israel, urging the Israeli government, through Ambassador Bass, to provide necessary assistance and ensure their security. The Ambassador assured that Nepali citizens in Israel are safe.

On Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement confirming the safety of Nepalis in both Israel and Iran. Amid recent developments, Minister Dr Rana contacted Nepali Ambassadors in Tel Aviv and Doha, instructing them to prioritise the safety of Nepali citizens in the region.

The Ministry stated that it is closely monitoring the situation and will take appropriate measures to ensure the safety of Nepalis in the conflict-affected areas, as needed.
