Foreign Minister Dr Deuba says government effortful to streamline passport distribution
June 7, Kathmandu: Foreign Affairs Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba has stated that the government is committed to making the passport distribution process more effective and accessible.
Minister Rana emphasized that the government is leveraging technology to ensure passport services are efficient, simple, and affordable for all. She underscored that obtaining a passport is a fundamental right of every citizen and stressed that no obstacles, difficulties, or disruptions should hinder this process.
Addressing challenges in passport distribution, Minister Rana noted that discussions are underway to formulate necessary policies and regulations to resolve existing issues. Reflecting on the past, she acknowledged the difficulties people faced in obtaining passports and highlighted that the current system allows for easy access to e-passports through online applications.
