PM Oli attends Annapurna ascent celebration in Narchyang

June 3, Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has visited Narchyang in Annapurna Rural Municipality, Myagdi, to participate in the 75th anniversary celebration of the first Annapurna ascent. The event marks the 1950 ascent of the 8,091-meter peak by French mountaineer Maurice Herzog.

The rural municipality’s chair stated that PM Oli would inaugurate a trekking trail to Annapurna Base Camp, an open museum, and unveil statues of climbers. Accompanying the Prime Minister were the Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation and the State Minister for Energy, Irrigation, and Water Resources.
