Beijing: PSB Nepal Executive Chairman Dr Bista meets CMG Director An Xiaoyu

May 27, Kathmandu: Dr. Mahendra Bista, Executive Chairman of Public Service Broadcasting (PSB) Nepal, met with senior officials of the China Media Group (CMG) on Tuesday in Beijing to discuss cooperation.

Dr. Bista is part of the delegation accompanying former President Bidhya Devi Bhandari on her official visit to China.

In the meeting, Dr. Bista and An Xiaoyu, Director of CMG’s Asia and Africa Language Programming Centre and Executive Deputy Editor-in-Chief of China Global Television Network (CGTN), reached an agreement to strengthen collaboration between PSB Nepal and CMG, focusing on technology and program exchanges.

The discussions build on a memorandum of understanding signed between PSB Nepal and CMG during Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s visit to China in December 2024, which aimed to foster cooperation. Both sides committed to forming working groups to promptly advance the implementation of the agreement.
