UCMAS Nepal concludes 13th National Abacus and Mental Math Competition with participation of 500 students across Nepal

Kathmandu: UCMAS (Universal Concept of Mental Arithmetic System), a globally recognized educational program focused on enhancing children’s cognitive abilities through abacus-based mental math techniques, successfully concluded its 13th National Level Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Competition in Nepal. The event saw enthusiastic participation from around 500 students representing various regions of the country.

UCMAS, established in 1993, currently operates in over 80 countries and has helped millions of children worldwide improve their concentration, memory, creativity, and overall academic performance.

Supported by leading academic institutions like MIT, Harvard, Oxford, and Cambridge, UCMAS is celebrated as a pioneering program in cognitive development for children aged 4 to 13 years. The program integrates fun and scientifically structured learning to unlock the full potential of a child’s brain.

The highlight of the national competition was the demonstration of extraordinary mental math skills by students who have undergone UCMAS training.

The event also saw the presence of Mr. Alexan Wong, CEO of the UCMASInternational Headquarters in Malaysia, who praised the students’ outstanding performance and emphasized the significant role UCMAS plays in children’s cognitive development.

An award ceremony followed the competition, where winners received trophies, medals, and certificates. Participants were honored for their efforts, and top-performing students were awarded cash prizes worth thousands of rupees. Among all participants, the most prestigious title of the event, “Champion of Champions,” was awarded to Aaradhya Raj Karnikar.

Dr. Snehal Kariya, Chairman and CEO of UCMAS Nepal, expressed his gratitude, stating that  the event saw the active participation of all their franchise partners and course instructors and thanked all the parents who entrusted his organization with their children’s development through the globally acclaimed UCMAS program, which has been successfully running in more than 80 countries since 1993.

He added that UCMAS is the leading practice in abacus-based learning, backed by scientific research from professors at MIT, Harvard, Stanford, and the University of California, San Diego.

Pallavi Shrestha, Country Head of UCMAS Nepal, also shared her appreciation extending her thanks to all the franchises, instructors, and parents who contributed to making the 13th National UCMAS Competition a grand success.

This event reaffirmed UCMAS Nepal’s continued commitment to fostering mental math skills, focus, self-confidence, and cognitive development in children across the nation.
