HoR session: Government’s attention drawn for immediate rescue of Tilgaun locals
Kathmandu: Lawmaker of the House of Representatives, Tshering Damdul Lama, has demanded that the government immediately rescue the locals of Tilgaun of Namkha rural municipality-6, in Humla district.
Speaking in today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, Lama drew the government’s attention to rescue and to provide relief, saying the locals are at risk due to a landslide that occurred following an outburst of a glacial lake.
He shared that eighteen families have been compelled to stay under a tarpaulin at the farmland. The landslide that occurred on May 15 and 16 had put 18 families of Tilgaun at risk.
The HoR member also asked the government to pay attention to it as settlements near mountains are at high risk of natural disaster.
