Scarcity of Anti-Rabies Vaccine in Baitadi
Baitadi, May 18: The lack of an anti-rabies vaccine in the district has forced the service recipients to go out of the district to get vaccinated.
There has been a shortage of anti-rabies vaccine in the district hospital for the past three weeks, says Harish Pant, Information Officer of the hospital. The Provincial Supply Centre has already been informed about the shortage of the vaccine.
Anti-rabies vaccination is administered at the District Hospital, Patan Primary Health Centre and Kesharpur Primary Health Centre. People need to get the anti-rabies vaccine in case they are bitten by dogs, cats and other pets, as well as wild animals such as foxes and wolves.
